Name: Kirklin MacDonald
Age: Twenty-Two
Gender: Malr
Standing (good, evil, or neutral): Evil
Species: Pirate
Personality: A loner who is obsessed with cleanliness. He’s quite lazy and highly intelligent though he doesn’t always put his brain too work. He can be very helpful but always looks to see how he will benefit from the situation. He’s friendly and open about most things but he loves his privacy.
General Appearance: Kirklin is pretty rugged looking. He has been living on his own for too long and hadn’t had a chance to shave or clean. His brown hair is shoulder length and very dirty. His brown eyes are heavily lashed with eyebrows. He has a moustache growing and the start of a beard from being on the run for so long. He is around 5’11” and skinny to almost the bone from being homeless. Kirklin can be seen wearing a pair of old faded jeans with holes in them, a black t-shirt and a tan jacket made of suede in which he stole off someone’s cloth line.
History: Kirklin was born January 23 in Ardmore Ireland where he lived most of his life with his parents. They were a very happy family so the death of the MacDonalds was a complete shock to the community. Nobody expected them to go like they did. No one had expected them to be murdered in their sleep by angry Scots and nobody was accounted for their deaths. Everything they had was left to their only child and he was left to his uncle.
Kirklin’s uncle took him in as a small child of nine years old. Things seemed to be going all right for Kirklin. His uncle was a fair man and treated him like he was his own son. They went fishing together a lot and did many other father/son activities. The only flaw in this relationship is that he was an alcoholic and pedophile though nobody ever knew because kids were terrified and Kirklin wouldn’t say a word for fear of being tossed out onto the streets. He just put up with his uncle’s touching.
One night, when Kirklin was about eleven, he came home from a friend’s house late. His uncle was drunk off his rocker and was ready to fight. Kirklin wasn’t about to take it anymore. He fought back and fought hard but nothing seemed to faze his hard toned uncle. During the struggle, Kirklin managed to knock over the telephone and hit a speed dial button, which was programmed to call the neighbours in cause of emergency. All the woman on the other end could hear was muffled noises that made her suspicious. She called the police immediately.
Kirklin’s uncle was taken into prison and he was placed into foster care. For the rest of his days he grew up safe. When he was 18 he went to college in America receiving high status in computer programming courses. His childhood had taught him not to trust anyone and so Kirklin didn’t. He didn’t make any lasting bonds of friendship and he didn’t trust anyone.
Even with his great achievements in school, he was finding it hard to get work and he had a massive student loan to pay off from going to school. So, with his great knowledge of computers, Kirklin continued to study until he was able to hack into just about any computer system in the country. He wormed his way into the government of the USA banking system and stole a load of cash. He used some of it to pay off his student loans and found himself fleeing to Canada.
In Canada, Kirklin found himself getting into more trouble. He simply couldn’t avoid it. He figured out a way into the Canadian Military system and set off their automatic machine guns killing a few members of their armed forces. He took to flight once more and this time was caught. He was not given a trial and thrown into a high security Canadian prison. While in prison, Kirklin spent lots of time plotting his escape. With the help of a few inside men, he hot-wired the computer systems causing them to malfunction. Through the chaos of trying to figure out what had happened Kirklin made his escape into freedom. He fled to Egypt.
In Egypt, Kirklin made his living as an adventurer. He took offers from people to search for treasures of Ancient Egypt and was paid to return the treasures to them. He kept a low profile and stayed out of trouble from then on but he knew he could never return to the USA or Canada.
Sample RP:
It was a cold windy day, the sands were blowing at almost 20 mph through the deserts of Egypt. For Kirklin, that was a rough bit of misfortune. He walked with his arm shielding his eyes from the blistering sun and the sandy wind. He could afford another misfortune in his line of work. He was, one route to the Ancient Pyramids of Egypt to locate some mysterious treasure for a lazy good for nothing rich man who just wanted more money. Why did he get himself into these things?
Kirklin stopped for a break. He pulled out his waterbottle and took a long drink. He would soon be out of water and he hadn't even made it half way to the pyramids. Why hadn't that fool offered him more security with this job? Did the man truly want him dead? Kirklin was rather frustrated with himself. He had done a lot of crazy things in his past but he never thought he'd stoop as low as stealing treasure from ancient monuments for the price of a good night's sleep and a four course meal. Such was life though.
